It's Sunday, time (for Keith) to run another half-marathon

On Sunday it was time for Keith to run in the annual Kirkland half-marathon. In a time of 1 hour, 47 minutes, this was one of Keith's best results. Having just hiked to Poo Poo Point the day before, I decided NOT to run the 13.1 miles (as if there was ever any question). I won't get off as easy for the next race. I'm already committed for the Rock 'n Roll Half-M in June. Only 6 weeks to train. Yikes!

On Saturday, Krissy and I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and hiked Tiger Mountain to Poo Poo Point. Conditions were ideal for all the para-gliders who were soarin' the sky by the dozens. Conditions were also ideal for completely bustin' my quads. The trail we took to Poo Poo Point is the shortest but steepest route up Tiger and my legs felt like Jell-O on our hike back down. Diminished capacity to move my legs aside, it was a great day. Well worth it to get out on the trails with a good friends and watch the para-gliders...from a distance, safely on the solid ground, far, far away from the cliff edge. Just the way I like it!
