The urban wildlife show
I got up this morning and went for a run along Lake Washington. All of a sudden from high in the sky, a bald eagle dove down to the water, grabbed a fish with his talons and flew away. What an amazing sight. It stopped me cold and I stood there in awe. I couldn't believe I was standing in the city limits, witnessing a wildlife show that seemed like it was made for Animal Planet.
What a treat! What an amazing city.
Disclaimer-- I'm sure Jack and Sharon, who are currently touring Alaska, aren't nearly as impressed. I too, would be more impressed by a grizzly bear and two cubs and all the other wildlife they've seen.
