My life in Margaritaville

First of all, let me apologize to the reader of my blog for my long absence. I know it's been quite a while since I've written an update. In my job, when we begin the new calendar year I think of it as three sprints- one from winter break to mid-winter break, then from mid-winter break to spring break, and finally from spring break to summer. I just completed the first sprint, which for me is always the busiest and most difficult. Long, stressful days. Haven't been on the computer at home in a while, but things are leveling off now.
To cap off "sprint one", I went to Los Angeles with Keith. Ohhhhhhh to feel the sunshine on my face. We arrived on Friday and went to dinner at Mr. Chows in Beverly Hills. We didn't spot any celebrities as I was hoping, but we did have a wonderful dinner. On Saturday we got to do many of the tourist things we've never done in LA- Disney Concert Hall, Mullholland Drive, Graumann's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood walk of fame. On Friday night we went to Santa Monica to walk around the pier and the 3rd Ave Prommenade.

On Saturday we went to Anaheim. Started in the morning at Knott's Berry Farm and then on to the main event late in the afternoon- Disneyland! We were at the two theme parks from 5-11PM on Saturday and most of the day Sunday and it still wasn't enough. No matter how old I get I still love Disneyland. There are three new rides, Nemo's Submarine Adventure ride at the Disneyland park and at California Adventure there is the new Monsters Inc. ride (similar to Mickey's Toontown ride) and Toy Story ride (similar to Buzz Lightyear, but more like a 3-D shooting gallery). Great new additions to go along with my old favorites, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean and Soarin' over California. I'm already looking forward to my next trip!
