The remodeling continues

The finish line is in sight! After 2 years and 9 months of work on the house, we are almost done. It seems like a long time, but when I think back on all the work, I'm impressed by our accomplishments. In less than 3 years we have remodeled approx. 2,400 sq. ft. of living space, doing most of the work ourselves on evenings and weekend.

Our most recent projects:

1) We have completed the main bathroom. (the 3rd and final bathroom remodel, yeah!!!). You can see the before and after pictures above.

2) We took out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. We are in the middle of constructing an arch between the two rooms. You can see the before shot looking at the narrow entrance between the dinning room and kitchen. The other picture was taken today with the wall removed and the arch in place. We put the sheet rock up today. Now we just have to tape, mud, texture and paint.

The kitchen in the background is mostly finished. We just need to tile the back splash, update the lighting, and have the wood floors installed throughout.
Maybe my excitement about being almost finished was a bit premature...

Wow, that looks fantastic! I really like the kitchen with the arched entry. Way to go!

So when you're done, you and Keith are coming over to work on our place, right?? :)
